Invitation to the Harare Master Plan meeting 2024-2044, on 5th February 2025,

The Harare Master Plan is being prepared in an accelerated fast track process in compliance
with the provisions of Part IV of Regional, Town and Country Planning Act Chapter 29:12 as read
with The Regional Town and Country Planning Master and Local Plans] Regulations,
Government Notice No. 248 of 1977.
As an integral part of this planning process, Civic leaders, that is you, our dear Councillors play
a vital role in the mobilisation of the residents of your wards to get together for Residents Ward
Meetings. We humbly request your support to invite residents to contribute their valuable
insights and expertise in these meetings .
We take this opportunity to notify you that All ward meetings have been scheduled for
Wednesday 5 February 2025 across Harare starting at 1400hrs at selected venues. The
Zimbabwe Republic Police Clearance for all the meetings has been obtained. The Councillor
leads our team that will be interacting with residents of Harare City Council Planning Area to
enquire of their service needs and vision for the City.
The purpose of this meeting is to share insights of emerging findings from the Report of Study,
gather key information and perspectives from the residents who possess valuable knowledge
and experience of their neighbourhoods, and engage in a conversation around the future of the
City of Harare, it’s planning and development.
Your leadership and input will play a crucial role in shaping the future of The City of Harare
2024-2044 Planning Period.
We are counting on your support for a successful Harare City Ward Residents Engagement
Day on Wednesday 5th February 2025.
